We are now offering a portable workshop service. It is kitted out with the latest equipement to enable us to work on sites with limited facilities. To comply with health and safety regulations we have fitted it with a push/pull extraction system for removing welding fume.
We will be purchasing two new forklifts and another lorry unit in the near future.
2016 sees us branching out into offering haulage services. Using our Mercedes-Benz Actros unit and low loader or flatbed trailer our new transport co-ordinator John MacKenzie will be available for low loader hire and general haulage. He can be contacted at email@example.com or on 07821556504 from the beginning of January.
We are also starting 2016 with our order book at an all out high and have been awarded various projects to take us forward throughout the year. We look forward to being busier than we have ever been.
The beginning of 2015 seen us invest in orbital welding equipment which has improved efficiency and quality of our pipe welds from a weld profile and hygienic perspective.
Our annual surveillance audit from the TWI was successfully completed for BS EN ISO 3834-2 and BS EN ISO 1090-1 Execution Class 3 and we have qualified an additional in house welding inspector to CSWIP 3.0.
During 2015 we have also invested in a Push-Pull Fume Extraction System to create a cleaner, safer work environment for our employees. Down one side of our workshop we installed a supply air ducting system which blows clean air into and across the workshop. The other side of the workshop has a parallel duct running with extraction grilles that dilute harmful welding fume and remove it from the air. The system works to help reduce the fine dust and welding fume in the atmosphere and protect workers from airborne contaminants. This will result in a cleaner, healthier and safer working environment for our staff.
In 2014 the company invested in various areas to further improve the service offered to clients.
We invested in an onsite CNC Plasma Cutter allowing us to provide a faster cutting service with a finer finish. It can also be programmed to provide bespoke designs in mild steel, stainless steel and aluminium.
2014 also saw the company achieve the following accreditations:
BS EN ISO 1090-1:2009 & 2:2008+A1:2011 Execution Class 3 in conjunction with BS EN ISO 3834-2 through the TWI Certification Scheme
This now enables us to provide CE Marked structural steel products in line with the requirements set out in the CPR.
Due to increased Health and Safety demands for onsite work we put staff through the necessary courses to achieve CSCS Cards and David holds a CITB Site Safety Plus certificate for Site Management Safety for the Construction and Civil Engineering Industries.
During 2014 the company invested in a new Mercedes pick-up alongside our existing Mercedes lorry and low loader trailer to offer an improved delivery service. Offices were also redecorated to provide a fresh and welcoming environment to clients coming in to discuss their requirements.
The company has finished the year with a full order book for 2015 and is looking forward to new and exciting opportunities in 2015.
